Local 256 Answers Call to Help Local Church Recover from Hurricane Damage
Carpenters from Local 256 went above and beyond recently to help the Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA after it incurred major flood damage from Hurricane Matthew. Here’s a great video that outlines the project. Congratulations to these outstanding men and women for their dedication and love of community!
Local 256 Journeymen Leaders have formed a 300-Hitter Committee and are already helping to grow the Local’s positive image. At their first monthly breakfast meeting, the leaders agreed to seek candidates to support for this fall’s municipal races, and collect suggestions for community projects that will be completed this year. Excellent work, all!

Member leaders of Local 283, both 300-Hitters and 3-Year Apprentices, recently went to the Richmond County Neighborhood Associations Alliance monthly meeting in Augusta, GA. and had the opportunity to educate those in attendance about the benefits of joining the carpenters union.
Political, Retention and New Contractor Committees
Local 283’s 300–Hitters are providing the extra effort to serve on political, retention and new contractor committees. These brothers have accepted the commitment that accompanies being a 300–Hitter and are putting action to that commitment by helping to grow Local 283.
