Local 318 Member and Mid-South Carpenter Training Staff Helps Ensure a Great Alabama Team Build Event

High school students from all over Alabama get together once a year to compete in a building competition, and the Mid-South Carpenters Training program is there to help ensure a successful experience for the students.

The event, the 8th Annual Team Build competition, is held at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy and is sponsored by Alabama’s Resource Center for Technology. Seven teams were tasked with building an 8x10 storage shed over the two-day competition by reading blueprints and planning the project’s implementation as a team.

Judging their work was Silvestre Rodriguez, Central Alabama Carpenters and Millwrights Training Center’s carpenter instructor, and Pelham Local 318 member Cody Day. This is the fifth year the Mid-South Carpenters Training Program has participated in Team Build! Thanks for representing the Mid-South Carpenter Training Program so well, gentlemen!
