Almost 5,500 construction workers end their own life every year. In fact, more construction workers die by suicide each year than by all other construction-related fatalities, combined.

 

Union carpenters are not immune. At a recent UBC conference, 76% of attendees said their company or Local Union lost a worker or family member to suicide.

 

The SECRC wants to help. 

 

We’ve set up an Employee Assistance Program in partnership with a group called Empathia to address matters of a person nature. These may include financial concerns, drug or alcohol abuse, relationship issues or even questions about maintaining your wellness
