SECRC Welcomes Three New Council Representatives

The Southeastern Carpenters Regional Council welcomes three accomplished members of our organization as the newest Council Representatives. All three gentlemen replace long-time Council Representatives who recently retired.

In Savannah, Georgia, Local 256 is now represented by Raymond McCullough, a 31-year member, all of which was done as a member of Local 256. Raymond has also been an E-Board member for the Council since 2007. Raymond is responsible for making great contributions from inside the Savannah Training Center, where he began instructing in 2003. He was promoted to Training Coordinator in 2016. Raymond follows Meddy Settles, the long-time Local 256 Council Representative, who recently retired.

In Florence, Alabama, Local 1209 is now represented by Jeffrey Tucker, a 23-year member who also serves as Financial Secretary and Delegate to his Local. Jeff specialized in scaffolding and heavy form concrete when he worked on his tools. He now represents Local 1209 following the retirement of former Council Representative Tim Burns.

In Pelham, Alabama, Local 318 is now represented by Jay Schuelly, a 13-year member. Jay handled scaffolding, concrete formwork, framing, and finishing work on job sites until 2015, when he turned to teaching the craft full time. With Local 318, Jay has been Recording Secretary, Vice President, and Delegate. He is a fourth-generation union carpenter and second-generation carpenter instructor. He follows Lloyd Hicks, the Local’s former Council Representative, who recently retired.
