Four career fairs
Three states
Two thousand students
One message: A career with the carpenters union is a great decision!
Staff from the Mid-South Training program and the Southeastern Carpenters teamed to present at four career fairs in three states to more than 2,000 students in one month (April).
First stop was Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap, Tennessee for junior and senior high school students. Next was the Dade County High School in Trenton, Georgia for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Two more career fairs rounded out the month in DeKalb County, Alabama for students from DeKalb County, Jackson County, Fort Payne, and Scottsboro high schools.
Many thanks to Local 74 member Kim Hall, Local 74 Business Manager Rodney Graham, Council SIB Coordinator Je Ann Will, and Tri-State Training Center Carpenter Instructor David Hall for their efforts to bring the union message to these students!
